The point of free software
Is to make the inner workings of the hardware that you ostensibly own legible to the user and to place it under the control of the user, at least in principle
Using an AI code extruder to write a program that perhaps no one has taken the time to understand, and that is not designed with human understanding or modification in mind runs absolutely counter to both those goals

@david Idk what you're trying to say about "tiny llms," but it sounds like nonsense
@researchfairy You can locally run an LLM on a Raspberry Pi and tell it to control your lights. Due to hardware limitations, the LLMs are miniscule, and capable of only rudimentary conversation. And the one I use was made using free information by a university. That's another reason it's limited, they didn't illegally scrape the Internet.

@researchfairy Tiny LLMs for turning the lights on and off are fine. The 'future promise' of AI seems like a money-making scheme only, and they can't even get that right.
