I have spent much of this week doing the sort of work that AI is absolutely terrible at, which has helped me to see how many people doing this same work are definitely using AI.

You are making the assumption that people cannot be terrible at it, too ...
@evacide That's unfair to the minority of users who are sincerely and independently bad at the task.
@count_01 The difference between the work product of people who are bad at the task but have at least done it themselves and the people who have tried to do the task using AI is, alas, very clear to me.
@evacide Is it doing the household chores? I've tried to get gippity to do the dishes for me and no matter how I prompt it I just have to do them myself.
