Trump corrupted America's most innovative institution, the National Science Foundation, by stealing $1.4B mandated by Congress for research.

Since the NSF was founded, the agency has spent nearly all of its budget on basic research from a wide range of scientific fields, which has led to major advances in technology such as MRI's, semiconductors and the internet.

Similar moves are being made across scientific agencies, where money is allocated for research but never makes its way to the lab.
