@rooster I always have mixed feelings about this because I feel like some people hear this and think they shouldn’t take any individual action at all
@danirabbit @rooster That is true, but I think the main message should be for us to direct our focus and energy to where it matters – systemic action – which individual carbon footprint distracts from. Not an individual absolution, but a reminder.
EU liberals are laser-focused on eliminating individual car ownership – 2% of global CO₂ – while kind of staying mum on the 98% because that would mean we couldn't buy all our cheap crap from South-East Asia. Maybe we should talk some about that too.
