One emergency. Several countries. One communication system. 🇪🇺

We are proposing the European Critical Communication System, a common solution for first responders acting in cross-border situations.

First responders from different EU countries will be able to share voice, video, data and location in real time, securely and seamlessly under the same system.

When disaster strikes, borders must not be a barrier for emergency teams. 🚒🚑🚓

@EUCommission Isn't there already a European standard, TETRA? Whatever you do, don't repeat the mistake the US did by mandating Project 16 with a proprietary voice codec without capping royalties, so Project 16 radios are 4x as expensive as Tetra ones due to price gouging (San Francisco had to play $500M just to upgrade its buses and trains).
