I am back in the city again, using $0.03/KWh. I paid $4 for electricity last week, but I miss my #offgrid cabin in the country with zero utility bills.
Oil and gas consumption in this country is NOT sustainable and requires subsidies for it to exist. I wish the electrical grid was subsidized and was absolutely free to share the crazy excess solar and battery power with my neighbors. So much power it is insane.
My solar system is a smaller one, 10KW/KWh, but the average home uses only a kilowatt or two on average. What do you do with the rest of that surplus? You could open up the windows and doors while the heat/cold is running, charge the EV, run the clothes dryer, but there's still surplus.
Stop supporting the unsustainable whale oil industry. The time could be now. Wars and borders would be a billionaire relic of the past. You want nuclear power, nuclear fusion from the sun is free and safe, but please use sunblock to keep your skin young and body healthy.
