For years, left-wing parties wanted to either ban or substantially tax wood-burning stoves in Denmark, leaving people with nothing but community district heating.
Today our Prime Minister talked about the need to be prepared for possible Russian terror against public facilities — which would include district heating.
Denmark can easily have -15°C during winter, so this winter I am glad I kept my stove, and I still have 3 m³ of firewood in stock.
Have a plan B, or you don't have a plan.
@randahl
Sorry, but burning wood is the worst thing you can do to your neighbours! Even the best stoves emit 1000x more toxic Feinstaub than Gas heating for the same amount of heat.
Better have a generator to power a heat pump.
But if your house doesn’t have a heat pump, the stove is probably the cheapest backup. But PLEASE don’t use it for fun, only as plan B!
