#MastoAdmin junk: 4.4.25 to 4.5.18 was pretty smooth, but the v4.5.18 branch included a .ruby-version file for a different version of Ruby than installed, and that broke the "bundle install" step. Deleting that let "bundle install" work. Still doing NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=4096 RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rails assets:precompile so it doesn't error on running out of heap with the Debian nodejs. Oh, and edited Gemfile.lock to specify sidekiq 8.0.10 instead of 8.0.9 to avoid a bug.
Translate is slow but should work eventually. There's a pull request with a fix for that timing out that has been sitting unapplied for a year. Every time I update, I have to remember to re-apply that patch or translations error on timeout before they finish.
kernel update and reboot postponed. Things were not happy testing that offsite. There aren't any patches for critical vulnerabilities in this release cycle, that I know of. Instead, we're on Mastodon 4.5.18 now, up from 4.4.x. Please send a message if that broke anything.
