Looking at candidates for my local city election. And this is how I find out they phased out grade 7 band class.
...I never went to school here or had a band class, so it's understandable this isn't a huge issue for my consideration.

Moving on from the "easy rejection" phase of picking people is making me notice that "has experience in similar positions or with the system" feels kind of important to me?
Which, like, candidates' statements of intent are a good start. I'm willing to take a lot of "I did this" kind of qualifications at face value if there's no other flags. But if I want to give someone a chance who doesn't have direct experience it's a lot harder to vibe check that.
@rockario do the candidate statements include endorsements?
I'm looking at a pool of 2 or 3 dozen candidates for 8 Council seats. Kinda funny that in my quick first-pass-rejection I got to look up the parties and more than one party flagged itself for rejection with something in their platform.
Happy to have the help deciding before I look further than their submitted statement.
