IT’S ironic that a board game designed to challenge the evils of land monopoly resulted in the female creator being cheated out of the money it made.

Charles Darrow was the first person to make a million from a board game but it was actually the pioneering feminist and economist, Lizzie Magie, who invented The Landlord’s Game that became Monopoly.
