Does anyone else use their big screen in this manner (portrait)? I used to have a 24" like this w/o problems, but this one's 27" and feels like a little big: to look at the top I have to move my head to look up.
I'm thinking of making myself a desk to put it some cm lower, but maybe I'm pushing too far.
Ideas?
@gedankenstuecke I'm actually right handed. I got some RSI about 15 years ago I switched to using my mouse at work with the left hand (incl ergonomic mouse & keyboard).
At home I use a right handed mouse
@amapanda @gedankenstuecke my 2nd boss had to do the same because he broke bones in his right hand. Once he recovered never went back because he could type and use the mouse almost at the same time after practicing typing with one hand. Handy (see what I did there?) when filling forms that do not jump from field to field with TAB or ENTER.
@mdione i can't see if you already have but: if your screen has a vesa mount, using a table-clamped arm mount is an easy way to push the screen further away as well as up/down depending on need. I recently started using two of them, one screen in Portrait and one in Landscape orientation
@gedankenstuecke nice hack. But still there's space on your desk and the universe would like a word about chaos with you!
@gedankenstuecke I see, but my problem is that I need the top of the 27" on portrait mode to be lower, and for that I have to put the bottom side lower than the plane of the desk. I could with an arm, but that would mean the bottom would be hidden by the desk plane.
Maybe 27" portrait is not feasible...
@mdione I think the one I use in portrait is 27" too - and I think you're right for sitting in front of it, when used in a standing desk configuration it works quite okay.

@mdione yeah, I have one monitor in landscape and one in portrait for reading things.
