Ich finde es faszinierend, dass überall #ReturnToOffice gefordert wird, mindestens für einen Tag die Woche und dann die Grippe und Erkältungswelle einfach die ganze Belegschaft alternierend über Wochen niedersteckt. Und nicht mal Masken + Lüften + mal krank zuhause bleiben ist hängen geblieben.
Diese ignorante Dummheit, das absolute verweigern von Lernen durch die breite Masse sorgt schon noch fürs aussterben der Menschheit.

I just had a weird experience:

I was writing YAML code in VSCode when the text editor started to scroll randomly up and down. Both my hands were on the keyboard and not even close to my mouse.

After a moment, I found the culprit: My cat, who laying was on the desk, touched the Touchpad of the laptop (on a stand next to my monitor) with her paw, causing my editor to scroll randomly 😹

The eVisa scheme is founded on an incomplete and misleading Data Protection Impact Assessment, meaning foreseeable risks were not mitigated.

ORG has brought together 19 civil society groups to call on the ICO to formally investigate the resulting data protection breaches and accessibility issues.

What's the problem? Until recently, migrants from outside the EU had physical documents to prove that they and their families could live, work or study in the UK. These could be physical cards or stamps or stickers in their passports. The Home Office planned to replace these physical documents with e-Visas by the end of December 2024. These plans failed and now millions of people are having to use expired documents to prove their right to be in the UK.

The UK eVisa scheme has been riddled with data errors. This represents a huge breach of sensitive data and a system failure.

Migrants are prevented from proving their legal status and locked out of accounts with little Home Office support.

They can't prove their right to work, rent, study, travel or access services. The DPIA should have identified and mitigated these risks.

The UK eVisa scheme is a digital-only system that checks immigration status in real time.

The DPIA is misleading. It claims eVisas are part of a 'digital by default' transformation that people can choose to use.

But it removes all physical documentation and users can't opt out of digital methods.
