What is particularly enticing about this thread is that Jonny stayed up late doing this and then clearly went to bed with lots of it unfinished.

In other words there could be even more insane stuff coming once he gets a well-deserved rest and some coffee.

We’re going to have to explain to our grandchildren that once upon a time we put heroic efforts into building machines that could tell us a truthful yes or no. That when we told the machines yes the yes would be unambiguous, that when we told it no the no was certain, and truth and certainty mattered. And then, once the machine could speak back to us in something like our own voices, once it learned to wear our faces and flatter the worst and most venal of all of us, we threw all that away.
