@randahl I don't think "naive" is the word I'd want to use here. Trump is fooled because he wants to be — Putin and others who manipulate him take advantage of his foolishness, his larger than space ego, etc. A naive person just doesn't know any better and doesn't know the ways of the world. Trump is just such an egomaniac a few compliments or lies convince him his worst enemies who'd just as soon leave him in a ditch if he wasn't useful anymore like him.
It's kind of the opposite...
