Folks, feel like we are kind of missing the mark here with this Ed Sheeran Macklemore stuff. Sure, Sheeran deserves to be canceled, but the more appropriate boycot targets are MAGA billionaire Robert Kraft and the other stadium owners attempting to use their power to censor those who perform at their venues.

@mastodonmigration while I can, on some level, appreciate wanting to stay "neutral" on the matter, as soon as it became "these artists can't play here", it should have been "the hell they can't!"

That it's gone the way it did, that's Sheeran's problem; he could have used his popularity to strong-arm the opposition and say he'd find other venues (denying those who opposed it the revenue). I absolutely support the artists bowing out in protest.

I can recognize not liking a gov't vs the people.

@mastodonmigration True, but at least it does seem that a spotlight is being shone on Kraft and it's not showing star qualities. Something about him being in the Epstein Files? What would be good is to know what other entities are owned by him and his like so they can be avoided, if not downright boycotted.
