@delcj @puretaste Thank you! I pulled up the link to the shirt but was saddened to find there wasn't a bunch of photos of people wearing the shirt in ridiculous ways to mock it.
@Alice it's Target's site so of course their very good-looking and well-styled models make it FASHION. if someone's put together a zany outfit with that shirt or those pants, it would probably have to be on tumblr or something.

@Alice You know for as much as people used to hate on the preppy look there was at least a point to this. Schools with uniforms that demanded a button-up shirt and tie, but in climates like New England where it can be bitter cold at the start of a school day and then pleasantly warm at noon.
Sometimes you just want to take off your sweater and not have to hold it in your hands all day.
No different from waist flannel in Seattle grunge scenes.
