My #ADHD *strongly* believes I am a far bigger gamer than I am, given the number of unplayed games & underused devices I own. π
And, based on the number of playmats, it believes I am playing Magic: The Gathering at a rate 1000x of reality. π

@murdoc that's the spirit! π

@mattwebbdev I think it's Kickstarter making out best tbh. π€£ While I own a dozen Steam games I've never played, I minimize $ in DRM'd media because it ain't ever really mine.
@linc yarr, what about sailing the high seas there matey? I kid... maybe...
@mattwebbdev It took me a year to finish connecting to my friend's Plex server and I still haven't cued up a single movie from it. π
I am so *annoyed* by technology because [gestures at everything] so while I well understand how to muddle through pretty much any tech setup... I'd rather just order a physical book and read it on my back porch these days.
Maybe I'm nearing my lifetime quota for debugging and wanna deploy it more strategically. π€£
@mattwebbdev Pirating, much like building your own PC, is basically signing up for debugging as a service, and you're the service. I support everyone's own vibe on it, I just want to minimize it in my own life these days.
@linc Absolutely relatable. I like messing around with home server, but I really get tired of babysitting it as well. Not even sure if I'm finding joy in the exploration of what I can accomplish with having it in my life...
I was reading an article about how a group of #GenZ New Yorkers are having monthly #luddite events. They're getting outside, eschewing personal tech, and living in the moment together doing fun things.
I think it's great honestly. We're all burning out to some degree. As the saying goes, "The kids are alright".
@linc
I can certainly relate. I think of it this way though: they say to dress for the job you want. I just buy games and devices for the gamer I want to be. πππ
