So, to pay a contractor a company called "Plooto" wants me to put my Actual Bank Real Credentials into a dialog box for a company called "Flinks", which promises that it is "secured via 256-bit encryption" and "will never share my credentials."
This is a real transaction!
And they want me to just... hand over my bank login to make it work?
This is bonkers. Guess I'm calling them Monday to find some way to pay them that doesn't look exactly like I'm being phished, badly.
WTF.
Strange feeling to get a bill in email from a company you know, about a real transaction you know about, in the correct amount with all the correct information and genuine view-source-correct URLs, mediated by a company with the dumbest name you’ve ever heard, like it was named by a four year old trying to tell their first joke.
