i was gonna ask what you think of it
@einsiedlerspiel It’s a lot less interesting than I’d hoped.
I think coming through cyberpunk naively, as an early adolescent, makes it much less appealing (as an aesthetic or a container for ideas about escape) than it must be for someone born in the ‘90s, who discovers it as a mode of nostalgia.
I couldn’t give a solitary damn about cyberpunk. I did it, I loved it, I lived it, it’s just been a very long time since it was productive for me as a source of ideas or affects. Now it’s just kinda cringe.
It’s too bad the whole book that follows isn’t nearly as sharp, but what are you gonna do?
