Half my career was maintaining manufacturing plants that made plastics and plastic products. All kinds of plastics, flame resistant to "food grades." And breathing those airborne microplastics. I can tell you what is in those plastics and why they are used. Lead, antimony, fluorine, etc. Lots of metals made the injection molds for food grade products, such as beryllium copper for heat conductivity. I also worked in the energy industry too, some horrific stories I can tell.

Thanks to education, I have been learning to avoid everything plastic and filling my remaining years with natural plant fibers, like cotton carpets. So many plastics everywhere. So many oil products and energy from drilling and mining the desecrated graves of dinosaurs. All of it incompatible with our health. The curse of capitalism fuels this end.
