AI gives you infinite content made just for you. That's exactly the wrong problem to solve.
Culture scales through shared experience, not customization. A perfect private AI film gives you nothing to hand anyone else. "I see dead people" worked because everyone was in the room.

@Daojoan there's this idea that those who control computational power/data centers will basically enslave people thorough hyper-personalized AI-generated content (https://www.amazon.com/Life-3-0-Being-Artificial-Intelligence/dp/1101970316 explores it quite a bit). While I really want people to want common ground, I sadly mostly see hunger for hyper-personalized slop... What would it take to wake them up?
