Every time you view or like a post or take most actions on Bluesky or Blacksky your requests go through your Personal Data Server (PDS). It’s also the home of all your data.
To date, we’ve used other people’s software to run Blacksky’s fleet of PDS.
In the next week we’ll be migrating to our own.

I’ll be working hard to minimize disruption during this time, but it’s possible things might glitch.
After the migration is done, new things will be possible for Blacksky hosted accounts — not immediately but this lays the foundations for things like private accounts.
