sincere request:

would people please be so kind as to check the veracity and understand the full extent of things before they rant angrily about them / boost other people's angry rants? just because it's on here doesn't make it true.

i'm all for ranting, but when people rant about something that isn't even real/accurate, it contributes to the general air of mistrust and makes everybody else's day more stressful for no reason. it may also cause someone to make a bad decision about something because they believe something that isn't true.

(this post brought to you by the myriad of such posts i've seen recently but haven't had the spoons to contest. the last time i tried with something, i just got told i was wrong anyway even when i provided evidence when the other person had none. so. whatever.)
