Spent some time designing an offline Digital Credit system. Every day individuals would be credited from birth till death. This credit could be credit-slitted up to a percentage eg. 36.5% with 63.5% of your credit going to basic survival costs, and 36.5% credited over n life days for when you need a self-loan for expensive purchases. eg. 1000 credit-slit days = 365 credits (1yr). From birth to adult 63.5% goes to your caregiver and 36.5% to trust, so at adulthood your trust reaches 6570 credits.
@serapath That's basically it. The credit-slit makes it a basic income and a self loan from one credit a day over a lifetime. I tried to keep it simpler, suggestions welcome. The percentages and delegation at stages in life were after-thoughts.
The hard part is securing identity into a hardware quorum using multi-factor attestation of life and attestation of the multiple devices for redundancy that digitally represent it, along with other devices they transact with, all offline.
@craigoverend hm... i get multi device offline, .. but whats multi factor attestation of life?
and even if you have that... what i dont get is how it is issued and who you borrow against? ...if a community accepts the rules, imho how do you prevent sybil attack?
seems especially dire in a world where AI can convincingly produce text/images/video/sound/voice to make it impossible to distinguish - not only that, but even if you find a way to physically meet and verify, given how fast robots improve and i'm sure the "adult robotics" industry might eventually make that hard as well 😅 ...
...but maybe i dont even understand which problem you are trying to solve
@craigoverend
so its for kids and means:
Everyone receives a lifetime UBI from birth to death. 63.5% for current basic needs and 36.5% accumulates as personal credit. Accumulated credit can be spent, or a person can take a self-loan against their future personal UBI, to receive those future credits early and repay them through reduced future allocations?
it can probably be simplified more.
what happens in adulthood?
whats the limit on borrowing against the future?
whats needed to implement?
