the kind of brainrot that enables people to believe it's possible to "revolutionize any field overnight" from first principles and a large corpus of mostly-unreplicable studies is only subpassed by the kind of brainrot that believes a next word guesser is capable of reasoning in any capacity

@davidgerard I wonder when someone in a position like that will actually be concerned enough to, I don't know, do something about it?

Like, setting aside the fact that those concerns are blatantly misplaced at this point (there are *real* problems with AI *now*), it's kind of insane to imagine:
