Wait. Is that why they're leaving ahead of the IPO? Like, they got their bag - or promises have been made - and then they make a noisy exit while banging on about how important and powerful and inevitable AI is going to be?

the kind of brainrot that enables people to believe it's possible to "revolutionize any field overnight" from first principles and a large corpus of mostly-unreplicable studies is only subpassed by the kind of brainrot that believes a next word guesser is capable of reasoning in any capacity

@davidgerard I wonder when someone in a position like that will actually be concerned enough to, I don't know, do something about it?

Like, setting aside the fact that those concerns are blatantly misplaced at this point (there are *real* problems with AI *now*), it's kind of insane to imagine:
