Read a thread where what I presume are normally reasonable people lose their shit and take dogmatic sides on bike helmets.
Some things I know from personal experience:
When I was 28, I fractured my skull, spent 3 days in hospital, and 2 weeks off work, after a bike accident where none of that would have happened had I been wearing a helmet.
I’ve worn a helmet on a bike ever since and have had several falls where a helmet has saved me from a similar experience.
@urlyman I’m in the “I’ll wear a lid when cycling. What you do is up to you,” camp assuming you are an adult. Children should probably treated differently to a certain age. Not sure what that age is, though.
