The most surprising realization I had in the last years was how important it is to be public about your refusal to participate in harmful acts therefore giving others "permission" to do so as well. It really matters.
It's hard to stop other from introducing LLMs everywhere, maybe even impossible. But that doesn't mean that you can't do anything.
The first important step is to publicly say "NO", to refuse to participate. Even if you might need some software that's slopified, make your personal choices heard. Be vocal.
The best way to show people that another world is possible is by creating it. Even if just for your small community.

With that you create a crack in the social cohesion. Being different takes courage and voicing that even more so. You're also not alone in seeing this as "permission", I noticed the same dynamic. Shutting up never helped and one simple "I disagree" can break a dam and punch through a wall.
