The Finch app challenged me to discover one fun fact about the place I grew up.

Apparently, there’s a network of tunnels underneath the High Street in High Wycombe. Although there were rumours they were military, or some sort of escape route, the truth is considerably more prosaic.

A brewery built them to transport beer to many, many pubs, without the hassle of carting barrels through busy streets.
