This is a rather wide deviation from your point and no need to respond, but that word 'reentry'. It has bothered me since the day I first heard it on TV back in the 1960s when I was a kid and space crazy.

I mean, 're' (to do again) and 'entry' (to enter) don't fit with what the object does; because it doesn't 'enter', it 'exits'. (Or, at least, it exits the atmosphere, give or take a thousandth of a bar. And only a few which actually exited the Earth's gravity have 'entered'.)
