Me a few days ago: Clock pin? Data pin? I understand that. 5 volts, ground, two button pins, I can speak to digital gamepads now!

Me, today: Okay that's every power and ground pin hooked up, and all four digital buttons, but fine, I'll hook up the four analog lines as well, apparently those are also required. Would not be surprised at this point to find some chucklefuck made a joystick that uses the MIDI TX/RX pins, too.

The yellow wires? Oh, that's the trigger rail. don't ask.
