Y'all! Our next door neighbors had a pecan tree when I grew up in Oklahoma. We loved gathering windfalls to eat. But we always said pee-KAHN.

PEE-kan, of course. Which was also what we called the empty Luzianne coffee can one kept under the bed every cold night. 🤭
