it's very weird having a new kind of software described to me the same way a pandemic was. "repeated exposure may give you brain damage and it even kills a few people, but it's here to stay so you'll just have to get used to it"

@eevee another similarity is how it, ahem, unmasked open source communities.
The moment it was not mandatory open source conferences dropped mask mandates excluding the vulnerable. And when LLMs came very few communities banned them instead they fully embraced fastech.
All that blathering about diversity and inclusion? That was talk. This is the reality.
(If this needs to be said: I wear N95 masks. And I campaigned for an LLM ban in my former community.)
