I moved house recently, to an apartment where I live alone. Which is how I ended up assembling IKEA shelves on my own yesterday, having also acquired my own cordless screwdriver.

To paraphrase Diana Prince:
I have come to the conclusion that men are essential for procreation, but when it comes to building flatpack furniture... unnecessary.

A tall white chest of drawers from IKEA. It is utterly ordinary and sits, unadorned, on grey carpet against a white wall.

@emmadavidson as a single person who purchased an IKEA couch last week, this bit in the instructions felt a little unkind!
