If all of you all (you know who you are) currently exploring #NetBSD (for, uh, reasons*) would donate a little bit of money to the NetBSD Foundation, I am sure that sad little gauge under the logo would look a lot better.

@adelie @ParadeGrotesque Oh I don't think FOSS missed its moment, I think we had some organizational failures to meet a moment, but FOSS' relevance and moment are more necessary and alive than ever!
Yeah, FOSS is more necessary right now than it has been since Microsoft wrote the Halloween Documents. It's scary out there right now.
But back then, the threat was one big bad company named Microsoft trying to decommoditize our protocols. One target to fight. One adversary to build alternatives to. One common enemy for our community to rally against.
Now our own peers are turning against us, and our community is rapidly disintegrating. Breaks my heart. 💔

I'm thinking about packaging the eh editor for NetBSD/pkgsrc. It would be a nice way to get more familiar with pkgsrc and contribute something back.
