If you wanted a demonstration of how compromised law & order is in the UK, one only needs to compare the 'protests' in Dover by a large group of based individuals carrying on in a manner one might regard pretty clearly as threatening - no arrests; with the police actions against peaceful protestors holding placards in support of Palestine Action - arrests.
If you wanted to bring the police and the rule of law into disrepute this would be a textbook example of how to do it.
