The Bulwark (among other sites) is, increasingly a bunch of podcasts. I don't have time to listen to them. I would read transcripts. Yes, I know that chatting with cronies and guests is easier than, you know, reporting and writing. Just not for me....

@dangillmor I've never gotten into podcasts, too easy for my mind to wander away from. Give me a transcript every time.

@dangillmor The problem with transcripts -- and I mean all them -- radio ones like I do, podcasts, courts, etc., is that you easily lose emphasis, sarcasm, and more. This not just an annoyance, it can be a real problem.
@dangillmor “my time is more valuable than yours” syndrome - another reason why plonk was invented. One wonders if they check if AI summaries of their content accurately reflect the message they hope to convey
@dangillmor I've largely given up on podcasts. I find most of them are an hour plus but should have been edited down to about 15-20 minutes.

I find podcasts generally to be an inefficient way of consuming news and information, though sometimes entertaining.
