My new Lowa boots, even bought on sale, are the most expensive footwear I've ever owned, but I felt so secure even on the most difficult parts of the trail, climbing up and up and up big boulder stairs.

Excellent grip, really comfy, I'm very relieved that they're working out so well.
I was seriously SO SCARED they wouldn't be good because damn, quality hiking boots so expensive. Now that they are good they better last for a decade!
I'd worn them around to break them in a bit but this trip was the first real test.

I love mine so much. 5 years of demanding bushwhacking use and they're still in outstanding shape.
