@flancian It reminds me of the system I made for collecting console logs from a few thousand Sun servers at Cisco that were wired up to terminal servers (I just dated myself) using screen to run telnet (I just dated myself again) and write everything to a log file, plus a wrapper to let someone find where the screen session was running and join it for console access without terminating the logging process
