please boost.
been running this 45 TB disk array for some time now.
the intention behind it was to provide services to the community.
i was thinking, what sort of services do you want to see or use?
some ideas:
- IRC
- gemini/gopher, there are some forum softwares
- neocities instance
i'd like there to be some way to share this disk space in a useful way.

If it's about solarpunk, have a look into #Meshcore #Meshtastic and #ReticulumNetwork.
They have very low requirements by default (e.g. 5 bps (!) bandwidth), but the overall network does profit from high storage or high bandwidth nodes, with added services (RRC Chat, NomadNet website). And they are especially useful when other networks fail.

@dirtycommo @sl1200 If you still believe in Geminispace, it would be nice to make something new that's not aimed at the same hardcore fans, or for that matter vibecoded. Recently I've been thinking about my time on Flounder again. Turns out it's still the biggest host, with 20% of existing capsules.
@felix okay, after some finagling, i managed to get my old search engine out of backup and i am waking it up presently...
will be at the old gemini://search.solarpunk.au/, with the same certs as last time, as well.
@dirtycommo how serious is your "not breaking any law in Western Australia" rule cause that seems potentially like a lot of laws to understand
