Of all the reasons I see to hate AI or LLMs or whatever, the "they're ignoring IP and Copyright Laws" is probably the weakest.

There's nuanced discussions to be had around whether creators deserve to be recompensed for their work (#spoiler: they do, broadly), but locking information behind state-backed IP and Copyright laws ain't the way to do it.
