Something I've never figured out about Mona. I have my mastodon account configured to let me generate HTML using markdown. It works great. I write a post and mark down. It appears on the website in lovely formatted HTML.
Why does Mona turn it back to plain text? I didn't even get the markdown back. I get some kind of abbreviated plain text version which doesn't match what I generated or typed.
I believe I have seen HTML posts in Mona. But this is like it's taking some weird converted version of the markdown.

Keeps the markdown formatting for bold and italic.
Converts the markdown formatting for a bullet list into little bullets, which is not at all what you want.
And strips out the markdown heading indicators, and in the process loses several carriage returns.
Either give it to me in the original markdown, or give it to me in HTML. Ideally the latter. Then when I go to edit it, show me the markdown again. I know that's possible, because that's what happens when I edit it on the website.
This little dear lives in some holes in the ground outside our house. It's about the size of the palm of your hand. It's called a Tarantula Hawk Wasp.
