Did he have competition from the left in any primary?
I mainly remember that he beat Dr Oz.
He most certainly did: Malcolm Kenyatta. But, "progressives" decided to support the guy who had used a shotgun to threaten a Black jogger, and Kenyatta finished third (with Conor Lamb, a centrist, in second).
