This is ultimately the main dilemma for tech policy: we cannot support the cyberlibertarian positions of the tech bros, but we also can't support the liberal position that we just need to increase the power of the state (on copyright, on the ability of minors to use the internet, etc.). What would a genuinely leftist position on tech issues look like? One that maintains an active distance from both of those positions? I don't necessarily have the answers here, I just know that it's necessary. Cybercommunism is a cool word but it's something we need to actively theorize
