I would love to start supporting #MapQuest . Unfortunately, they don't have public transit directions.
They've listened to their users and refused to cave to US political bullshit. Maybe if we start asking for buses and trains in our app reviews, they'll actually do it.
@woozle do they have an android app?
@WizardOfDocs It looks like this one uses their data...
Does anyone know of a better answer to this question (i.e. does OpenStreetMaps have an Android app)?

@woozle @WizardOfDocs I was looking at organic maps for an in car navigation that isn't android auto with google maps default.
Saw some isolated claude contributions in the github so not sure if they are slop or not or have since taken a stance. Need to look into it more.
@woozle @WizardOfDocs I used mapy while I was in Slovenia and they apparently use OSM data too.

Either way you can look at their wiki. It seems pretty helpful.
@woozle @WizardOfDocs also, OSMAnd, which has a paid app on play store and a free one on f-droid, and has way more functionality (but is also more complex)

Install bonfire.cafe
Get the full app experience
@WizardOfDocs Also, #OpenStreetMaps is a thing and could probably use more funding....
