@cwebber I will also detest the "rules are for thee, not for me" environment that allows large rights holders to enforce copyright claims over individuals via automated scripts, while individuals get mass plagiarized with a big stompy boot and contemptuous wads of settlement dollars thrown in their faces after the fact.

@cwebber I don't actually dislike copyright, I dislike this copyright. Life of author + 50 years is just ridiculous. It doesn't incentivize innovation, it creates rent seekers. Shorter copyright terms sound a lot better to me. Specially now when much of content distribution happens online, and is available wordwide instantly. There is no need to wait decades for content to get its fair chance at financial success.
