Here's my feedback, posted to the EU.
The training and use of AI models must be subjected to the same economic and legal regulations that all other businesses, projects or organizations are. The fact that this must be stated is absurd, but companes that train AI models are unashamedly selling the use of models trained on material they have no intellectual property rights to whatsoever.
Their arguments are either that these materials are publicly accessible (completely confusing accessibility with property rights) or that AI is so beneficial to humanity that standard laws should not apply. None of these arguments are in accordance with neither nation nor international law, and certainly do not apply when it comes to their own intellectual property.
AI models that do not clearly state what materials have been used to train them, and that there are appropriate legal rights to their usage, should be prohibited from use within the EU.
