@Tutanota I moved over to Tuta from another encrypted email service because their UI was becoming more cluttered by marketing. The Tuta UI is simple, modern, and uses a colour palette gentle on my autism.

My email journey: ISP → Hotmail → Gmail → Outlook → Proton → Tuta. Each step was leaving something behind — an address I didn’t own, spam, ad targeting and no privacy, the same business model with a new logo.
Proton was the first real break: encryption, and a company paid by me instead of by advertisers. But can't trust a company that has a pro Trump CEO. Tuta goes further. It encrypts everything, and it has the spine to back it up. When a German court ordered it to monitor an account, it fought instead of complying quietly. When the EU pushes Chat Control and client-side scanning, Tuta get loud protesting!
That is why you get my moneys :)
@Tutanota I choose tuta because I wanted a simple, privacy respecting Email provider. Proton just gave me odd vibes. Beside that, I like the fact that your Headquarter is in my neighborhood 👏

@Tutanota I really like how it is just an email service and not a whole ecosystem. Plus I like that it is in eu and has pq encryption.
@Tutanota free software, in Germany, app in Fdroid, encryption and post-quantum, password-protected emails, encrypted calendar. These are my favorites.
@Tutanota after many years i wanted to install linux again. While searching an email client online I discovered Tuta. I loved the ui firstly and then discovered the privacy you give. That was it. I didnt even used the free version for a second day. After a year and half i am very happy with the choice. I let my gmail gather dust and junk emails...
