Just got a follow request out of the blue from "mikehorn110" at mastodon.social, who speaks French, English and Russian, and has several pictures of an older man engaging in exciting adventures involving trucks, boats and mountains, with photographs in wildly varying undetermined locations. He says "bonjour" to several people unprompted, and when one person responded, he asked where they are located, and when they answered, he said he was looking forward to continuing this conversation with you in a Sincere and Honest atmosphere.
So that's why you're an awful person for using AI to help yourself and instead we need to band together and destroy them.
@cy you haven't blocked mastodon.social? huh.
Haha thinking about it, but @joyousjoyness@mastodon.social @argonautskipper@mastodon.social @richpuchalsky@mastodon.social @kryptec@mastodon.social @michelestrider@mastodon.social
@rexi@mastodon.social @courtcan@mastodon.social @PatrickoftheG@mastodon.social and @jlou@mastodon.social are still on there. Hint hint.

weird, it's not like people can't migrate to a new server. If they don't want to be lumped in with the trolls and spammers, ehh.. I dunno, they can do whatever they like. I don't understand it though.
Being on large instances makes it harder to exclude people, which is bad because of trolls and scammers, but many instances get really high-and-mighty about what inappropriate behavior they shall exclude, whether their members want it or not. So it sort of avoids certain kinds of power tripping, but also consolidates power. I can see why people would be drawn to the "4chan" mindset, but I do think it's more trouble than its worth.
@cy I like Mastodon.Social and am not giving it up. Every time I look at any other instance I see busy body admins and moderators who think they are busting down Hitler's Third Reich when they're really just the kind of pissy people you see at your local HOA.
Better to be lost in the flood.
Well, consider you're sheltering and supporting scammers and AI when you do so. But if you think that's better, I'll try to let you know if I'm blocking the instance. Afraid I'm not familiar with Canadian Fediverse instances, don't know if any of them avoid petty politics like that.
