@EUCommission @The_Universality oh, that sounds neat. From the initial post I thought you'd (let someone) build a new ticketing app to combine all others. But that link sounds as if you'd instead specify a public, required API/protocol/standard? And that you'd require all rail operators to adhere to it and to interact with each other? Could one even build their own, independent opensource app on top of that?

The proposal is with the European Parliament now. Before a topic gets voted on, MEPs get the chance to debate and make amendments in smaller groups, called committees. The Transport committee held an exchange of views earlier this week.
